THE POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD
Date - Saturday September 24th, 2016. Topic - POWER OF THE WORD OF GOD. Bible Reading: Psalm 119:9-11, Ephesians 5:26-27.
I heard the story of the Second World War when United State warned Japan to stop war and give peace a chance, they refused to yield to this warning. US threatened to use their Atomic Bomb to fight them if they continue to fight, yet they refuse to yield until US use the first Atomic bomb called Little Boy, when they still refuse to surrender they use the second one called Fat man on 9th August, 1945. Looking at the power of these weapons Japan begin to surrender, and US also regretted that if they know that such weapons has the power to do that damage they would have thought twice before using it.
What am saying is that when you don't know the power something carry you have the tendency of under rating it. So are many child of God are treating the word of God today. But you must know that God's word has the power to.
1, clean you up, no matter how deity your life has been in the past, the word of God can clean you up again. David in his experience said a man can have his way cleans by taking the word of God very seriously.
2, your word I hide in my heart so that I will not sin against you. So the word of God also has power to keep you from sinning. Meaning you are has holy and pure as the level of the content of quality of the word of God you carry inside you. Store up the word of God in yourself and you will live word life daily, for what you have inside that is what you live outside you. Luke 6:45.
PRAYER POINTS : Lord I open my heart to you as I read, hear, meditate, confess, and practice your word let it bring changes to my life.
